How Communities Come Together After Disasters | Fuel Relief Fund | PetroTalk Ep 17

What happens when disaster strikes and how do communities come together to help people rebuild? In this episode of Petro Talk, we sit down with Hannah, Jake, and Kelli from the Fuel Relief Fund to discuss disaster relief, volunteer deployments, and the power of people helping people when it matters most. Jake and Hannah share their personal experience of losing their home to Hurricane Harvey in 2017, including how volunteers, neighbors, churches, and strangers stepped in to help their family recover. Their story offers a powerful look at the compassion that emerges during disasters and how those experiences can inspire people to help others facing similar challenges. We also discuss how the Fuel Relief Fund supports communities affected by disasters, the importance of fuel access during relief operations, practical ways to prepare for hurricane season, and how individuals can support disaster response efforts through donations, volunteering, and spreading awareness. Whether you're in the petroleum industry, interested in disaster preparedness, or looking for ways to make a difference in your community, this conversation highlights the importance of compassion, collaboration, and being ready to help when disaster strikes. 🔔 Subscribe for more conversations with leaders in petroleum, trucking, logistics, transportation, and the communities they serve.
