We hiked South Dakota’s Highest Peak (You Can See 4 States from Here)

Can you really see four states from the highest point in South Dakota? We had to find out! Our Black Hills adventure started with a stop at the legendary Wall Drug before heading through the beautiful South Dakota landscape. Along the way, we spotted herds of wild bison, met up with friends in historic Deadwood for dinner, and even sampled some delicious local chocolate. The highlight of the trip was hiking to Black Elk Peak, the highest point in South Dakota. After making the climb, we discovered why this hike is considered one of the best in the Black Hills. Was the view really worth it? If you love road trips, hiking, RV travel, and discovering amazing places across America, you’re in the right place.
