The light at the end of this turbulent tunnel. The end not only for this game, but...the series. This game is seriously 13 years old, without any more Advance Wars games. For some series, I think going on for too long can make things drag. But I don't this would be one of them. Heck, I'm a fan of Fire Emblem, which has 16 mainline games, and IS is still making stuff for it. This has series has had 4 games (more like 7 with Famicom Wars.) And it ends with a game that kind of split fans on its aesthetic and tone difference from the first 3. A weird way to end it off. Over the years, I've seen comments about the series being dead, about thinking that it might come back, and then that hope fading as more years go by. While it's not something I'm exactly praying for, it still would be nice to see fans to get something new. Something to revive interest in this series. As it stands, we'll always have these older games to go back to. And they're great games. Each with some weaker points, but all fun nonetheless. This theme goes hard for the rock in the beginning, but then it quiets down. And then it kinda stays quiet without going back to the rock. While the quiet calm marching drum and...xylophone? is fitting for the end of a war, I do miss the rock part. Of this 31-minute loop of this track, only the first 55 seconds of it has rock that this game's soundtrack has a lot of. I've had complaints about the prevalence of the hard rock in this game's soundtrack in the past, but it's kind of a part of this game's identity. And I've grown more accustomed to listening to them. So while I think this track is nice, I kinda wish there was more rock.
