B-2 Spirit in the Night - A Tribute to the B-2 Spirit - Uncle Sam's Blues

From the darkness over Missouri to targets halfway around the world, the B-2 Spirit has become one of the most recognizable and formidable aircraft ever built. In “Spirit in the Night,” Emily Heart takes the lead for Uncle Sam’s Blues in a tribute to America’s legendary flying-wing stealth bomber. With its enormous wingspan, two-person crew, hidden weapons bays, global reach, and ability to penetrate heavily defended airspace, the B-2 was built to arrive where the enemy least expects it. This song remembers some of the Spirit’s most remarkable missions, including the record-setting 44-hour combat mission to Afghanistan and Operation Midnight Hammer, when seven B-2 Spirits flew from Missouri to strike hardened nuclear facilities in Iran with massive bunker-busting weapons. And after Sam showed off his little F-117 Nighthawk, Emily had only one thing to say: “Cute plane you got there, Sam. Mine’s bigger.
