EPF Minimum Pension: पेंशनर्स को मिल सकती है खुशखबरी, ₹1,000 से ₹7,500 होगी पेंशन? | Top News देश के लाखों ईपीएस पेशनर्स की एक बड़ी मांग अगले महीने पूरी हो सकती है. कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि संगठन (EPFO) न्यूनतम मासिक पेंशन को 1,000 रुपये से बढ़ाकर 7,500 रुपये कर सकता है. बिजनेस स्टैंडर्ड की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, ईपीएफओ के केंद्रीय न्यासी बोर्ड (CBT) की 240वीं बैठक 19 नवंबर को गुजरात के गिर में हो सकती है. इस बैठक में कर्मचारी पेंशन योजना (EPS) के तहत न्यूनतम मासिक पेंशन बढ़ाने पर विचार हो सकता है.केंद्र सरकार ने सितंबर 2014 में ईपीएस के तहत न्यूनतम पेंशन 1,000 रुपये प्रति माह निर्धारित की थी. पिछले एक दशक में देश में महंगाई कई गुना बढ़ चुका है. इसी वजह से पेंशनभोगी संगठन और ट्रेड यूनियन लगातार न्‍यूनतम पेंशन में इजाफा करने की मांग कर रहे हैं. उनका कहना है कि 1,000 रुपये की मामूली रकम आज के दौर में दवाइयों और बुनियादी जरूरतों के लिए नाकाफी है. यूनियनें मासिक न्यूनतम पेंशन को 7,500 रुपये करने के साथ-साथ इस पर महंगाई भत्ता (DA) जोड़ने की भी मांग कर रही हैं. The long-standing demand of millions of EPS pensioners in India could potentially be addressed next month. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) may consider increasing the minimum monthly pension from ₹1,000 to ₹7,500.According to a report by Business Standard, the 240th meeting of the EPFO’s Central Board of Trustees (CBT) may be held on November 19 in Gir, Gujarat. The meeting could discuss a proposal to increase the minimum monthly pension under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS).In September 2014, the central government fixed the minimum pension under EPS at ₹1,000 per month. Over the past decade, inflation has significantly increased the cost of living. As a result, pensioners’ organisations and trade unions have repeatedly demanded an increase in the minimum pension.They argue that the current amount of ₹1,000 per month is insufficient to cover essential expenses, including medicines and other basic necessities.
