Archaeological Sights of Athens 📍 2 - 8 March 2025 Exploring the archaeological treasures of Athens from 2 to 8 March 2025 was truly an unforgettable experience. I was fortunate to visit during one of the most beautiful times of the year, when spring was just beginning to awaken the city. The weather was pleasantly cool and sunny, the parks and hills were covered in fresh greenery, and roses were starting to bloom, filling the air with their wonderful fragrance. Best of all, there were very few tourists, allowing me to enjoy every historic site in a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. A special highlight of my trip was 6 March, when I had the opportunity to visit all the state archaeological sites free of charge, as Greece commemorates Melina Mercouri, the country's beloved former Minister of Culture. This annual tribute honors her lifelong dedication to preserving and promoting Greece's cultural heritage. Athens in early spring is simply magical, and this journey is one I will always cherish.
