Barbry Ellen- Arr. and Performed by Jessica Comeau (Traditional Appalachian Mountain Ballad)

The ballad "Barbara Allen" exists in distinct traditions from both England and Scotland. It was referenced as early as 1666, with the implication that it existed long before. The song continued to undergo the folk process when it arrived in North America.
