Democracy and Inclusion

Democracy belongs to all of us. It is about the people and the decisions that shape our everyday lives. For democracy to truly work, everyone must have an equal opportunity to participate in leadership and governance. Yet many people still face barriers that prevent them from exercising their right to vote and be heard. Persons with disabilities, for example, often encounter challenges ranging from inaccessible polling stations and information to social and systemic exclusion. An inclusive democracy is one where every voice matters and every citizen can participate fully, regardless of ability, age, gender, or background.
