Morning Military Spotting at Mesa-Gateway Airport | 1/16/2026

A really good day at Gateway today, as 4 F/A-18 Legacy Hornets from VMFA-323 stopped by on their way home to MCAS Miramar, and 2 VMFT-401 Lucky Sniper F-5s were doing sorties out of Gateway as well. Note the Special "Devilfish" F/A-18D that is painted to celebrate the Men and Women of MALS-11.
