A Timelapse of a 2 hour Satellite Dish install in Spain. This satellite dish measures 125x135cm and will, in my service area, receive all the UK TV channels via satellite in all but the heaviest of rains. A good install location is needed with no trees or building in the line of sight to the satellites. This location was ideal, an unused roof terrace. Good wall and good fittings, but I still used a concrete block under the wall support to help take the weight from the wall. Using a satellite signal meter locating the satellites that are some 36,000 km (22 000 miles) in geosynchronous orbit is quite quick and easy. However fine tuning of the satellite dish and LNB to get the maximum signal takes a while longer. A few millimeters out can mean no reception of the weakest channels.
