The Craftsman Bard is my stage name and a musical persona I created for my English-language original songs. Behind The Craftsman's Bard is me, Mahir Ozan — a songwriter, guitarist and musician who has been writing songs for many years. I wanted a separate identity for my English songs: something that represents the songwriter, storyteller and craftsman behind the music. So, when you see The Craftsman's Bard, you're listening to an original song written by me — not a cover. Different songs may travel through different worlds: hard rock, blues, folk rock, heavy metal, jazz, or something completely unexpected. Back in my younger days, I was a heavy metal guy through and through. Over the years, I gradually mellowed out, explored different musical styles, and moved on to other things.
