Getting a new squad car for our fleet completely changes the pace of Police Chief Sim. It is time to trade paperwork for patrol. Most of my shift has been stuck inside the briefing room, buried under reports and station management tasks. Organizing files and setting up the office was necessary, but it left me itching for real action. Now that the garage is stocked, I can finally get out on the streets and put our department's resources to the test. The shift does not end with a vehicle, though. I am also focusing on buying new equipment to automate our workflow, balancing the tedious office duties with actual field work.
