Walking to Rome on the Via Francigena 16: Monteriggioni to Siena

Monteriggioni to Siena (1 day; 20.1 km) Probably a lovely stretch of Tuscany is lost to us, obscured by heavy rains that also have us looking down, to manoeuvre over streaming, muddy paths. Thankfully, our destination, Siena, will be a “zero day, “ a day of rest and touring, tomorrow.
