From walking barefoot to a village school in Banda to leading anti-dacoit operations in the Chambal ravines, his journey is as inspiring as it is unfiltered. We discuss what it really takes to crack the UPSC without any coaching, the truth behind the "fear of uniform" rooted in a 160-year-old colonial law, and what "thok do" actually meant. He opens up about resisting political pressure on investigations, the high-stakes encounter that earned him a Gallantry Medal, and the complex cases he cracked as SP. He also breaks down a practical, must-know guide for every citizen: what to do when the police refuse to file your FIR. Beyond policing, he shares how 26/11 reshaped India's coastal security, the reforms he introduced in police training, why he turned 172 acres of barren land into a thriving mini-forest, and a hard-hitting take on why most plantation drives are a "criminal waste of public money." This is a conversation about leadership, integrity, and responsibility — and why every one of us can choose to be responsible, even if we never wear the uniform.
