Uganda Launches Climate Investment Platform to Drive Green Growth and Combat Climate Change

‎Government has launched the Uganda Climate Investment Platform, a single government-led framework to mobilise climate finance at scale and turn Uganda's climate commitments into real impact. ‎The platform will be anchored under the National Partnership Forum and chaired by the Prime Minister, to align government, development partners, the private sector and civil society behind one coordinated pipeline. ‎While officiating the launch, the vice president Jesca Alupo said government remains fully committed to the Paris Agreement and its Nationally Determined Contributions adding that the platform will go a long way in supporting the preparation of bankable climate projects, connect them to investors, and enable de-risking so that climate action is profitable and sustainable.
