CTA 2020 Holiday Train TEST RUN + Red Line trains at Loyola & Howard Yard - 11/19/2020

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and all the restrictions it has brought to everyone's lives in 2020, CTA is committed to continue with its Holiday Train tradition this year! Sources say, and I'm being told WGN announced this morning, that CTA will operate this train with NO PASSENGERS due to the high risk of COVID infections. The purpose of the Holiday Train is not only to bring joy to people who want to see the train and ride it, it's also an annual food drive CTA does that delivers food baskets to local communities that need it most. This is a tradition that started in 1992 on the Blue Line on a train with a sign in front of it that read "Seasons Greetings from the CTA". Schedule: http://www.transitchicago.com/holiday CTA test runs the Holiday Train every year before service to make sure the flat car's braking is working, since it runs on air brakes, and all the equipment such as the lights and PA equipment for the music work properly.
