Brief about Dominic Monteiro : Dominic Monteiro is a banking and financial services transformation leader with over 26 years of experience across global financial institutions and consulting organisations, specialising in operational excellence, regulatory transformation, governance and strategic change. His career includes leadership and consulting roles with Tata Consultancy Services, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Nomura, Citigroup, JPMorgan, L&T Infotech and Miles Software (EbixCash). Most recently, as a Consultant at TCS (2022–September 2025), he led more than 35 global transformation, transition and regulatory reporting programmes for Morgan Stanley and Nomura, working across business, operations, compliance and technology teams. His expertise covers banking operations, investment banking, capital markets, securities services, wealth management, corporate and trust banking, regulatory reporting and FinTech. He has worked across EMIR, MAS, ASIC, JFSA and MiFID regulatory programmes, while establishing PMO governance frameworks, managing risks and controls, executive reporting, steering committees and cross-border delivery. Earlier, at Goldman Sachs, he contributed to automation and operational enhancement initiatives in liquidity and collateral operations. At L&T Infotech, he delivered major Citibank transformation programmes covering securities services, OTC derivatives, regulatory reporting and trade processing across the US, Europe and Asia. His earlier JPMorgan and Citigroup roles built his foundation in payments, corporate banking, reference data, migration programmes and operational risk. Dominic holds an MBA in Finance from ITM Institute of Technology & Management, Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University. He is also PRINCE2 certified and a Certified Corporate Trainer, Leadership Trainer and Management Consultant. Beyond corporate transformation, Dominic has established himself as a trainer, mentor and leadership facilitator, delivering programmes for organisations including HDFC Bank, RBI, DBS, BSE, NSDL and Accenture. His leadership philosophy centres on trust, accountability, transparent communication, continuous improvement and long-term value creation. He advocates innovation, experimentation and diverse perspectives, and views AI, automation, machine learning and data-driven decision-making as important enablers of operational excellence and strategic growth. His boardroom-relevant strengths include corporate governance and PMO oversight, regulatory compliance and risk management, strategic programme leadership, banking transformation, process reengineering, digital transformation, stakeholder engagement, executive reporting, global delivery and organisational change. He has managed teams of up to 30 professionals and cross-border programmes across North America, Europe, APAC, Singapore, the Philippines, the UK and India. His board experience is particularly supported by advanced capabilities in strategic transformation, governance, risk management, stakeholder management, change management and strategic execution, with expert-level strengths identified in regulatory compliance, financial services, operational excellence, programme management and business process reengineering. His direct exposure to ESG and sustainability, M&A and corporate finance oversight, and cybersecurity is limited or basic, although his governance, compliance, risk and regulatory experience provides transferable capabilities.
