Episode 1195 The Henshaw brothers confront Stan (Bernard Youens) about cleaning windows on their patch. They demand the profits Stan made, but Hilda (Jean Alexander) persuades them to negotiate. Rita (Barbara Knox) is amused to discover Elsie (Pat Phoenix) is Dennis’ (Philip Lowrie) mother. Len (Peter Adamson) picks up where he left off with Rita, much to Elsie's disgust. Stan is thrilled when the Henshaw brothers decide to let him clean windows on Selby Street. The next day, Stan, Billy (Kenneth Farrington), and Ray (Neville Buswell) head to Selby Street, only to find it demolished. Stan is furious to discover he’s been had. Len is delighted when Rita agrees to start seeing him again. Meanwhile, a policeman (Colin Edwynn) visits Norma (Diana Davies) at the corner shop, asking about Jacko (Robert Keegan), who is wanted in connection with a break-in at Longsight.
