Strymon Riverside | Is a digital overdrive pedal really so bad? (Black Friday)

One of the points about this pedal that gets brought up a lot is that it is a digital overdrive pedal. But does the fact that the Strymon Riverside being a digital pedal make it out to be the villain we would assume it to be? The fact is the Strymon Riverside is actually an analog pedal. The digital part refers to it having digital components that control the parameters. A nice hybrid of analog and digital, old and new. Think of it like power steering where the technology is still mechanical but is aided by more modern electrical components.
