God Never Meant You to Carry It Alone: One Spirit, Many Gifts Moses reached his breaking point in Numbers 11. Overwhelmed by the people's complaints, he cried out to God that he could not carry the burden alone. God's answer was to share the load. He gathered 70 elders and placed His Spirit on them, and even Eldad and Medad prophesied in the camp. Centuries later, Paul explains the same truth in 1 Corinthians 12:1-14. There are different gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different ways of serving, but the same Lord. We are many members, yet one body.
