Why Morgott Protects the Erdtree | Elden Ring Lore

Why did Morgott protect the Erdtree that rejected him? This Elden Ring lore video explores Morgott, the Omen King, and the tragic loyalty that kept him defending the Golden Order. First encountered as Margit, the Fell Omen, Morgott becomes far more than an obstacle on the road to the Elden Throne. He is the ruler of Lyndell, and an Omen defending a society that condemned his own kind. Through item descriptions, dialogue, and pivotal scenes, we examine his royal origins, his identity as Margit, and the shame reflected in Morgott’s Cursed Sword. His brother Mohg chose a different relationship with his accursed blood, while Godfrey’s final moment with Morgott reveals the personal cost of the king’s struggle.
