TDI Swap Subaru Sambar Episode 5

One step forward, two steps backwards. Getting this 1996 Volkswagen 1.9L turbo diesel engine ready for my Sambar is taking me much longer than expected. The 30 year old 1Z TDI (precursor to the AHU and the ALH) needed a lot of maintenance, as well as some re-designing of two items. I plan to run the Volkswagen O2A five speed transmission 'clocked' 180 degrees. And that requires a different oil cooling and filtration system.
