A tribute to the great Italian singer Peppino Gagliardi who passed away 3 days ago,one of my favorite singers,i made too many videos to his wonderful songs during the years that i am here in youtube, and my friends who follow my channel know that so well,i made this video long time before knowing about his death,a tribute to such a great singer should be different, but anyway,i don't have always the right time to do that. a little about him. Peppino Gagliardi (25 May 1940 – 9 August 2023) was an Italian singer. Peppino Gagliardi was born in Naples on 25 May 1940. His first hit in Italy came in 1963 with "T'amo e t'amerò". In 1970, he had another big hit with the song, Settembre, and more hits followed in the early 1970s. Gagliardi achieved two-second placings at the Sanremo Music Festival: in 1972 with "Come le viole" and in 1972 with "Come un ragazzino". His music declined in popularity in the 1980s and 1990s. His last entry at the Sanremo Music Festival was "L'alba" in 1993. One of his songs, "Che vuole questa musica stasera", is part of the original soundtrack of Scent of a Woman by Dino Risi, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. by Guy Ritchie, The Ruthless by Renato De Maria, and Welcome Home by George Ratliff. The song was also used in an episode of Season 2 of the Belgian series Professor T. Gagliardi died in Rome on 9 August 2023, after an illness, at the age of 83 Lyrics of the song translated in English. Drops of the Ocean It is futile to think about days long gone by— about the happier days lived among us. It is futile to lie—it is futile to suffer— for those who can no longer say: I love you. Drops of the ocean were her eyes and I left behind my life— there is nothing left, not even a word, a word— the nod of a greeting—a gesture of the hand— and already she was gone. Drops of the ocean live in my eyes— I remember you as if you were here. But it is futile to think of finding ourselves again— there is nothing left—drops of the ocean. But it is futile to think of finding ourselves again— there is nothing left—drops of the ocean. https://lyricstranslate.com/en/gocce-...
