🌹 12 Stunningly Beautiful 1980s Actresses Who We No Longer See On Screen. What Happened to Them?

12 stunning stars of 1980s cinema: Kelly LeBrock, Phoebe Cates, Kelly McGillis, Daryl Hannah, Mia Sara, Bo Derek, Meg Tilly and Olivia Newton-John. They were the faces on every bedroom wall and every cinema poster of the decade: the woman in red, the girl Ferris Bueller adored, the mermaid who won Tom Hanks’ heart, the flight instructor who taught Maverick a lesson in love. Then, one by one, they quietly slipped away from the big screen. Kelly LeBrock, the “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful” Pantene girl, left Hollywood to raise her three children on a ranch in California’s Santa Ynez Valley. Phoebe Cates married Kevin Kline and now runs her own boutique on New York’s Madison Avenue. Jami Gertz of The Lost Boys married private-equity billionaire Tony Ressler, and together they bought the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks. Daryl Hannah of Splash and Blade Runner married Neil Young. Mia Sara, Ferris Bueller’s Sloane, married Jim Henson’s son Brian and writes poetry. Rachel Ward wed her Thorn Birds co-star Bryan Brown and now farms in Australia. Meg Tilly, Oscar-nominated for Agnes of God, settled on a British Columbia island to write novels. Lori Singer of Footloose went back to her cello, and played Carnegie Hall. Bo Derek, forever “10”, lives on a Santa Barbara ranch with her husband John Corbett. Kelly McGillis of Top Gun and Witness traded Hollywood for North Carolina, where she teaches acting. And two we have sadly lost: Shelley Duvall of The Shining and Popeye, and Olivia Newton-John, whose “Physical” was the biggest hit of the 1980s. It begins on a real photograph and ends on a real photograph, but the frames in between are AI-generated and are not real images of the person at any age.
