For decades, Wellington remained remarkably consistent while the rest of western Palm Beach County continued to grow around it. Wellington became known around the world for equestrian sport while maintaining something that has always made this community special — a hometown feel. Now Wellington is entering a new chapter. New residential communities, luxury development, restaurants, walkable destinations, expanded sports facilities and a major expansion of Wellington International are all happening at roughly the same time. Wellington is even physically expanding its boundaries. In this video, I take you through some of the biggest changes happening in Wellington, including Lotis Wellington, Village Landing, The Wellington, Wellington International South, Wellington Sports Academy and new residential development farther west. The bigger question isn't whether Wellington is changing. It is whether Wellington can grow while preserving the character that made people want to live here in the first place.
