What is the difference between our new OPST MS Series Rods and your standard trout spey rods? Our rods are more true to weight than those from other companies. For example, when converted to a single-hand rod rating, an 11' 4wt trout spey rod from another company is usually 3 line weights heavier. That means the 11' 4wt is usually a 7wt single-handed rod by conversion. Our MS Series changes all that. For example, our 10' 4wt MS Rod is a 4wt rod when converted into a single-hand rod rating. This means more enjoyment when fighting your average-sized trout or bass. Our rods will, of course, handle larger than average fish as well, but will also have maximum enjoyment when fighting your average fish.
