The two most common challenges in sintering are setter design and sintering predictability. The goal is to quickly and efficiently simulate, build, and test before confidently moving to production. In Chapter 3 of the sintering education webinar series, our experts will explain a variety of different setter design options and offer practical guidance on sintering predictability that will enable your team to make rational and logical decisions about design, producibility, and manufacturing.
Due to the nature of the sintering process, 3D-printed green parts on the Metal Jet S100 Solution will experience a fixed shrink rate. This is common for all metal forming and sintering processes, so we combine historical successes in the MIM industry and apply them directly to metal additive manufacturing. The nuances in setter design and support structures will be discussed for a range of different metals and applications.
Finally, this webinar will explore printability, consistency and furnace technology considerations. Elnik Systems offers a deep dive into the value of temperature uniformity and gas distribution as it relates to reliable and repeatable results. Join Stefan Joens, President of Elnik Systems, and Matthew Smith, HP Application Engineer, for this upcoming webinar.
Key Takeaways:
Learn about sintering simulation tools, setter design, support structures, and evaluating mass distribution and sintering speed.
Discover printability and consistency guidelines that include density gradients, micron printing, porosity, and yield.
Understand the critical benefit of temperature uniformity and partial pressure gas flow as it relates to furnace technology and repeatable results.
