A day in Fuencaliente – Punkfish Diving

In July I spent two weeks diving with Angie and Vero at Punkfish Diving in Fuencaliente, on the southern tip of La Palma, and filmed a day at the centre – from the beach before sunrise to the end of the last dive at sunset. Most of the dives start from the shore, at Malpique, their house reef, and they take everyone there, from first-time try divers to tech students. The coast is black lava and black sand, and Vero says most guests expect the reef to look the same. Then they get in the water.
