2023 Ford Escape PHEV Review - Escaping gas stations

UPDATE: On August 11th, 2025, Ford announced it's discontinuing the Ford Escape, with 2026 being the last model year. The 2023 Ford Escape PHEV is refreshed for this model year and boasts up to 60 km of range per charge. With a fuel rating of 5.9 L/km (39.8 MPG) it's in the 1,000 km per tank/charge range. A potential drawback is that it's only Front-Wheel Drive. The addition of a large infotainment screen sees the subtraction of almost all physical buttons, a new light bar graces the edge of the hood and with a starting price of $46,999 MSRP, it's in line with the competition.
