Mysuru Dasara 2026: Elephant Dhananjaya To Carry 'AMBARI' | ಧನಂಜಯನಿಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನದಂಬಾರಿ ಹೊಣೆ? | FREEDOM TV

Mysuru Dasara 2026: Elephant Dhananjaya is emerging as the likely choice to carry the 750-kg Golden Howdah during the 2026 Mysuru Dasara Jamboo Savari. With Captain Abhimanyu stepping away from the Golden Howdah responsibility after years of service, the Forest Department is now looking at the next elephant for the prestigious role. Mahendra, Prashantha and Ekalavya are also being considered, but District In-charge Minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah has indicated that Dhananjaya could be the most likely elephant for the responsibility. The final decision will be closely watched as preparations for the world-famous Mysuru Dasara continue. Meanwhile, Captain Abhimanyu has entered Mysuru Palace through the Jayamarthanda Gate and received a traditional welcome. This year, Abhimanyu will serve as the Nishane elephant during the Dasara festivities.
