کیا عذابِ قبر بدن اور روح دونوں پر ہوتا ہے؟ کیا گناہ گار مومنوں کے لیے عذابِ قبر میں تخفیف بھی ہو جاتی ہے؟ اہلِ سنت والجماعت کے عقیدے کے مطابق عذابِ قبر اور نعمتِ قبر برحق ہیں۔ قبر میں عذاب یا راحت کا تعلق روح سے بھی ہوتا ہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی مشیت کے مطابق بدن سے بھی۔ البتہ اس کی اصل کیفیت انسان کے علم سے باہر ہے، اس لیے اس پر ایمان رکھنا ضروری ہے اور اس کی حقیقت کو اللہ تعالیٰ کے سپرد کرنا چاہیے۔ گناہ گار مومن اپنے بعض گناہوں کی وجہ سے عذابِ قبر میں مبتلا ہو سکتا ہے، لیکن اس کا عذاب کافر کی طرح دائمی نہیں ہوتا۔ اللہ تعالیٰ اپنی رحمت، بندے کی توبہ، نیک اعمال، دعا اور دیگر اسباب کی بنا پر اس عذاب میں تخفیف فرما سکتا ہے یا مکمل طور پر معاف بھی کر سکتا ہے۔ خلاصہ یہ ہے کہ عذابِ قبر روح اور بدن دونوں سے متعلق ہے، اگرچہ اس کی کیفیت اللہ تعالیٰ ہی بہتر جانتا ہے۔ گناہ گار مومن کے لیے عذاب میں کمی یا معافی کی امید موجود ہے، اس لیے ہر مسلمان کو توبہ، استغفار اور نیک اعمال کی پابندی کرنی چاہیے تاکہ اللہ تعالیٰ اسے عذابِ قبر سے محفوظ فرمائے۔ Does the Punishment of the Grave Affect Both the Body and the Soul? Can the Punishment of the Grave Be Reduced for Sinful Believers? According to the belief of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah, the punishment and blessing of the grave are true. The punishment or comfort in the grave is connected to both the soul and, by Allah's will, the body. However, its exact nature is beyond human understanding, so Muslims are required to believe in it without trying to determine its unseen reality. A sinful believer may experience punishment in the grave because of certain sins, but unlike the punishment of a disbeliever, it is not necessarily permanent. By Allah's mercy, through sincere repentance, righteous deeds, supplications, and other means accepted by Him, the punishment may be reduced or completely forgiven. In summary, the punishment of the grave affects both the soul and the body in a manner known only to Allah. For sinful believers, there is hope that Allah may lessen or forgive the punishment through His mercy. Therefore, every Muslim should remain steadfast in repentance, seek forgiveness, and perform righteous deeds to attain Allah's mercy and protection from the punishment of the grave.
