The Creepy-Bopper | A Dark Shadows Obsession, Set in 1970 (USC Short Film)

A nostalgic Super 8mm short film about a boy in 1970 who runs home from school every day to watch Dark Shadows — until bad grades threaten to take his favorite show away from him. Now he has to muster every resource to defeat his enemy. But who is the enemy? And isn't this description longer than the movie itself? How did that happen? Made as a USC student film, shot non-dialogue / non-sync sound on Super 8mm, newly transferred in 2022 at Pro8mm in Burbank, CA. 2026 marks the 60th anniversary of Dark Shadows, which premiered on ABC on June 27, 1966. #DarkShadows #Super8Film #USC #1970s #Nostalgia #BarnabasCollins #DanCurtis #StudentFilm #GothicSoapOpera
