Nylander in Hiller's Doghouse? Maple Leafs set for Tavares return + Kucherov Talks

William Nylander is officially in Jim Hiller's doghouse, and the Toronto Maple Leafs need their superstar forward to respond. Mike DiStefano and David Morassutti break down Hiller's pointed comments about Nylander's game, including the coach's desire to see him work harder to get the puck and contribute more in the defensive zone. Despite putting up points, Nylander's five-on-five impact has been underwhelming, and the guys discuss why his recent play has become a concern. Could a public challenge from Hiller be exactly what Nylander needs to break out? With John Tavares potentially returning this weekend, the timing could be perfect for a big response. The guys also look ahead to a crucial weekend back-to-back against the Montreal Canadiens and New Jersey Devils, discuss the importance of getting Tavares back into the lineup, and debate who should get the starts in goal. They examine Toronto's lack of centre depth behind Tavares and revisit the Fraser Minten trade. Plus, Nikita Kucherov's comments about his future in Tampa Bay spark another conversation about whether the Maple Leafs could make a serious run at the superstar winger when he reaches free agency. Could Kucherov line up alongside Auston Matthews and Kirill Marchenko in Toronto? The guys discuss the possibilities and what it might take to make it happen. Do you think Nylander is about to have a big weekend? And should the Leafs make Kucherov their top free-agent target? Let us know in the comments! Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
