Lord, Guard My Words Today | Today’s Prayer | Psalm 141:3

“Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips.” — Psalm 141:3 Our words can comfort, guide, reconcile, and point people toward Jesus Christ. They can also cause lasting harm when driven by anger, pride, gossip, dishonesty, or haste. Today’s prayer asks God to shape both our speech and the hearts from which our words flow. We pray for wisdom in difficult conversations, restraint online, truth spoken in love, healing where words have wounded, and courage to apologize when we have caused harm.
