Herring School Passes a Halibut Rig | Underwater GoPro

A herring school passes through while I test an underwater GoPro mounted on a spreader bar. The camera looks toward a herring rig on a 30-inch leader, giving a close view of the bait’s movement as the fish swim past. For more on spreader-bar setups, bait and fishing techniques, see our FishinBC.COM Complete Guide to Halibut Fishing: 🐟 https://www.fishinbc.com/halibut-fish... I’m experimenting with different GoPro mounts and fishing gear to see what I can film beneath the surface. This setup also shows a practical way to present herring for halibut fishing. There’s no voice-over—just the underwater footage, original audio and a few on-screen notes explaining the test. YOUR TURN Have you tried mounting a camera on your fishing gear?
