Put a glass of water next to you. It looks boring. Clear. Tasteless. Almost nothing in it. But that boring glass is the reason your body is still running. Humans are strange animals. We sweat more than most mammals, lose water quickly, and don’t have the extreme water-saving bodies of camels, kangaroo rats, desert tortoises, or sea birds. And yet we live in deserts, build cities in dry places, and carry water everywhere. So why are humans so bad at handling water? The answer isn’t just biology. It’s behavior, tools, infrastructure, and the strange way humans build missing organs outside the body. In this video, we explore human sweating, thirst, kidneys, dehydration, desert animals, water infrastructure, and why a simple water bottle may be one of the most human inventions ever.
