Pisa to Plymouth: Part 3 — The Verdon Gorge to Avignon 🏍️🥂 Another early start paid off in a big way today! Rich and Sue left our hotel in Saint-André-les-Alpes bright and early, and the reward was clear roads, crisp fresh weather, and stunning lake views as we made our way through the Verdon Gorge before the traffic had a chance to build up. The Verdon Gorge did not disappoint — it was absolutely incredible, real food for the soul after some intense mountain days. We arrived in Avignon and checked into The Grand Hotel, then headed out on foot to soak up the sights and sounds of this beautiful city.
