Crossing the Martin Luther King Truss Bridge in St. Louis, Missouri

Driving across the Martin Luther King Bridge, which spans the Mississippi River between St. Louis, MO and East St. Louis, IL. The MLK Bridge opened in 1951 and was originally known as the Veterans' Bridge. At one time it carried historic Route 66 as well as US 40. It was renamed for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. after his assassination in 1968. Video recorded August 29, 2026.
