Life in rural China is simple yet peaceful. Everyone puts in hard work to secure a better future for every member of the family‑including the children.
Holidays in China are a wonderful chance for family bonding. Kids get to spend lots of time at home with their loved ones, but they still stay busy with their holiday schoolwork. Teachers use class group chats to manage assignments. Children need to complete readings, memorize lessons, and submit their work directly to their teachers even while on vacation. Education is highly valued here, so kids face pressure and keep up with their studies throughout the holiday break.
Aside from book learning, we let our children take part in outdoor farm chores. This hands‑on experience teaches them what farm labor is like early on, so they will not struggle when they grow older.
Hi everyone! I’m Ate Clydee, a Filipina living in rural China. Come along as I uncover our everyday countryside life. Today we’re planting garlic — watch how we get the soil ready for sowing. We also make a delicious local homemade dish and celebrate my mother‑in‑law’s birthday, and we do it all without a birthday cake! Enjoy our quiet family day.
