Morgaine Le Fay's Smothering Ruined Mordred | Justice League Unlimited

In Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, the DCAU writers took centuries of Arthurian legend and Jack Kirby’s comic books, and radically reimagined Morgaine Le Fay and her son Mordred. Instead of a medieval political tragedy, the team retooled them into a toxic, codependent family nightmare, where a mother's smothering parenting permanently ruined her heir. In this DCAU character breakdown and comic history comparison, we explore how the animated universe stripped source material down to the studs. From Jack Kirby’s debut of The Demon in 1972 to classic JLU episode Kid Stuff, I analyse the supernatural Munchausen dynamic that kept Mordred physically and emotionally stunted for centuries. I will talk about their mythological origins in Camelot, their missing comic book history, the psychological warfare Batman used to defeat Mordred, and their canonical ending, including the obscure tie-in comic that gave them their chaotic final fate. 🔔 Subscribe for more in-depth reviews and analyses of your favourite DC cartoons and comic books! 👍 If you liked the video don't forget to like, share, and leave a comment! 🔔 Click the bell icon to stay updated on future content! 🌟 Become a member for exclusive perks and early access!    / @serumlake   🎶 Music by Katt Strike - listen to the whole track here:    • Ambient Batman Music by @KattStrike  | Bat...   If you enjoyed this video I've got many more you could watch.
