Lake Eyre:- Mackay to Charleville

This is the first day on our journey to see Lake Eyre in full flood. Many people have it on their bucket list, as it does not happen often. We were very lucky to get invited on the trip. Our first stop was in Charleville Queensland. If you are traveling around outback Queensland, we thoroughly recommend visiting Charleville. Beautiful little country town. It has everything you need PLUS more! Friendly people and sites to see. We visited the "Secret WW2 Base", The Royal Flying Doctor Base, Cosmos Centre to view the stars and seen the Bilby's. We would like to thank Guy and Maree from the Warrego Motel for their wonderful hospitality. Guy was more than happy to pick us up from the airport and drive us around to all the sites in town when needed........awesome work. It was greatly appreciated!!
