I decided to upgrade my old wood mallet. Here’s a small video about the built. I used walnut and oak for the head and jatoba for the handle. To give that dead blow effect, I added ball bearings on the inside. To make the mallet more comfortable, I wrapped the handle with a leather strap. I also placed leather pads on the head, to avoid any damage to the wood. I also made a French cleat support for the mallet using a scrap piece of mahogany. Everything was finished with 100% pure tung oil. I hope you enjoy and if so, please subscribe, share and give a like! If you have any questions, please leave a comment. You can find me also at Twitter: @ThisManWorks -   / thismanworks   I’ll be making these by order very soon. I’ll put an advertisement on eBay, stay tuned.
