Buckshot Speedway | July 25th | Biggest Buzz 4 Field of the Year!

Mother Nature wasn't kind to dirt racing this weekend. Nearly every track around us, from West Alabama to Dothan, was forced to cancel because of the rain. That brought a lot of familiar faces to Buckshot Speedway, and it was great seeing so many racers and fans come together for one night of racing. We had our own rain to deal with, but the track crew put in the work to get the surface race-ready. Their effort paid off, and we were even able to race in some rain during our feature. It wasn't a perfect night. We had a few unfortunate accidents, including one hard head-on impact with the wall. Thankfully, the driver escaped with what appears to be only some knee injuries, and we're wishing him a speedy recovery. The Buzz 4 division put on one of the best shows of the season with a huge field of over 20 cars. I started 6th and managed to survive the action to bring home a clean 3rd-place finish behind Jacob Thomas and Brian Nicholas. A huge congratulations goes to Cody, who earned his first Top 10 finish in his first full race. That's a milestone every racer remembers, and we couldn't be happier for him. Thanks to everyone who chose Buckshot Speedway when the weather shut down so many other tracks. We appreciate all of the racers, fans, officials, and track crew who made this night happen.
