WHY I RIDE ALONE

At least once a week I'll head out on my bike. Usually with no destination in mind. Just a few quiet roads, some beautiful villages and enough time to slow down and notice things I'd have driven straight past a few years ago. When I first passed my motorcycle test I imagined big road trips and adventure. I never expected that some of my favourite rides would be the ones where I simply disappear into the countryside for a couple of hours on my own. This ride took me through some of my favourite roads around Rutland and Northamptonshire, with a stop in the beautiful village of Ketton to reflect on why these solo rides have become such an important part of my week.
