Cinderella Castle A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes loop (1971-1996)

This is the original music loop that played inside the main corridor of Cinderella Castle in Walt Disney World. It was the original version of A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes from Walt Disney's animated classic Cinderella. It was used from opening day of Walt Disney World exactly 55 years ago on October 1, 1971, until around the 25th anniversary in 1996 when it was replaced with a newer instrumental medley of a few Disney songs, which has played ever since. Tokyo Disneyland has also used this same music loop since it opened on April 15, 1983. Thankfully, Tokyo still uses it today. I wish they would bring it back to Walt Disney World. This video features a few vintage pictures of Cinderella Castle in the 70s and 80s as well as many of my own pictures of the intricate tile mosaics inside the main corridor from 2024. These mosaics have been there since opening day and are something that I hope remains around forever. In early 2026, they did a very nice job with a repaint of the outside of Cinderella Castle, rectifying the mistakes made during the 2020 repaint and making it look more like it did for most of the time between 1971-2020. The 2020 repaint replaced the elegant white with a burnt pink that myself and many others agreed to be inferior to the classic white & blue palette. I am very glad that they listened and brought back the classic color palette on Cinderella Castle for the 55th, although I'd love it if someday they also brought back this original music loop. I hope you enjoy this iconic music! I do not own any of the audio or vintage images (70s-80s) used in this video. All of the audio is owned by Disney. All images are owned by their respective owners. No generative AI was used in the making of this video.
