Welcome to Murasaki Sounds. Murasaki is the colour you get between indigo and vermilion — and the hour you get between day and night. Everything on this channel lives in that in-between. TOUROU (灯籠) is a stone lantern. It stands in gardens and along temple paths, and it holds one small flame behind a paper window. It was never meant to light the whole garden — only to show you where the next step is. The stone outlives everyone who has ever walked past it, and the moss slowly takes it back. 灯籠や 苔に埋もれて なほ灯る A stone lantern — half buried in moss, still lit ────────── Late afternoon in a mossy garden. The stone is grey and green and cool to touch. One small warm light sits inside it, doing almost nothing against the daylight. Ferns have grown up around the base. In a hundred years the moss will have won, and the flame will still be there. Shakuhachi, koto and shamisen. Very few notes, and long silences between them — because in Japanese music the space between two sounds is called MA, and it is not an absence. It is the other half of the music. Use this sound for: Deep Focus, Studying, Reading, Writing, Falling Asleep, Meditation, Walking, Letting the Day Go. 🎵 Tracklist & Chapters 00:00 — The Flame Is Already Lit 02:47 — Moss on the Stone Roof 06:00 — A Small Light in a Big Garden 08:02 — Nobody Lit It Tonight 10:55 — The Path Past the Lantern 13:01 — Rain Left on the Stone 15:47 — Green Growing Over Grey 17:55 — It Has Stood Here Longer 20:38 — The Light Reaches This Far 22:56 — Ferns Around the Base 25:34 — Dusk Comes to the Garden 27:52 — One Window of Warm 30:25 — Stone Holds the Day's Heat 32:46 — The Garden Goes Quiet 35:19 — Still Burning at the Base of the Hill 37:41 — Moths Find It Eventually 40:09 — Older Than the House 42:35 — The Flame Does Not Move (The set repeats from here — three times in all.) ────────── No ads in the middle.
