Swami Prabhavananda Buddha and Buddhism 5/8/1966

Swami Prabhavananda was a disciple of Maharaj Swami Brahmananda, the spiritual son of Sri Ramakrishna. Swami P (as his disciples called him), came to the US in the 1920s, initially as an assistant minisrer at the San Francisco Vedanta Temple, then in 1930 established The Vedanta Society of Southern California in Hollywood. Branch Centers were established later in Santa Barbara, where this lecture took place, and Trabuco Canyon in Orange County. Swami gave up the body on July 4th, 1976. In going through the archive boxes of old tapes from the Vedanta Society, I found large format audio recordings on 10.5 inch reel, with remarkably clear recordings, heard here for the first time.
