The second leg of the Hatfield Loop — a real-time dash cam drive from Bourne End through Apsley, past the site of a Roman villa, on through Kings Langley, Chandler's Cross and Sarratt, through Chorleywood, Mill End and Maple Cross, past Harefield and into Denham, Buckinghamshire. Denham itself has a surprising claim to fame: Denham Film Studios, founded by Alexander Korda in 1936, was one of the great studios of British cinema's golden age — The Third Man and A Matter of Life and Death were both made there before it closed in the 1980s. The village also holds Denham Place, a 17th-century manor house. 8:56 A Roman villa site near Apsley 12:43 Kings Langley 16:17 Chorleywood 19:06 Denham Film Studios — Alexander Korda's golden-age British studio 23:29 Denham Place, a 17th-century manor house 🎧 Best enjoyed with headphones. 👍 If you enjoyed this drive, please like and subscribe to @theRedCapot!
