Agency: Santa Clara VTA Bus: #4327 Model: 2014 New Flyer XDE60 Route: 22 to Eastridge Start: El Camino & Showers End: Palo Alto TC Recording Date: (03/09/25) This VTA bus ride video was recorded a day before Santa Clara VTA workers and the union went on strike. The operators deserve fair and equal pay, and hopefully VTA and ATU Local 265 come to an agreement as soon as possible, otherwise with many days without VTA bus and light rail in service will lead to the public and usual VTA passengers hating on them even more. Anyways, this was the last VTA bus ride I rode on before they went on strike. This was also my first time riding on VTA Rapid Line 522! I rode this bus from El Camino & Showers near San Antonio Shopping Center to Palo Alto TC, and it was a very fast and hauling because it's a Rapid bus. I've done the 22 before, but never the 522 until now. It's also kind of awkward to see bikes inside VTA's XDE60s as SF MUNI puts their bikes in front of their XDE60s instead.
