Golden West College Regional Criminal Justice Training Center SIBC Class 63 Graduation

The POST Specialized Investigator’s Basic Course (SIBC) is 17 weeks in duration and targets those who work in a specialized investigative arm of state or local government. This includes state agencies such as the Employment Development Department (EDD), and local agencies such as the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the Los Angeles County Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigations. While the curriculum is tailored to that of an investigator (who does not perform general law enforcement), the curriculum contains the same emphasis on the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics and the Six Pillars of Character. The SIBC is certified by POST for 699 hours of instruction and is presented in the POST Intensive Format. This is a unique and essential basic training curriculum utilized by county and state agencies in California. Golden West College Regional Criminal Justice Training Center is the only training institution certified to present this course, bringing us recruits from all over the state.
